Why I Chose the University of Pittsburgh
When looking for a surgical residency program, I had a few specific things that I was looking for. Academically, I wanted a program that would provide me broad exposure across all surgical subspecialties, excellent technical and clinical training, and a wide range of research opportunities. Personally, I wanted a collegiate environment with supportive senior residents, staff, and attendings where the residents were happy. I strongly feel I found the program I was looking for here in Pittsburgh.
When I am not at work, I enjoy taking my dog to the many parks in Pittsburgh, exploring the city, battling the Pittsburgh hills on a run, and spending time with my family.
