Why I Chose the University of Pittsburgh

I chose to train at UPMC because of the ample resources that the university and hospital have to offer. My goal is to become a surgeon scientist and UPMC allows me the opportunity to do so. I wanted to train at a high volume center where I would gain excellent surgical technique but also have the allotted time to pursue my academic goals. 

Non-Academic Accomplishments

I am a very active person, so in my free time I like to go out for a run, hike, or biking.
