Why I Chose the University of Pittsburgh
I was looking for a surgical residency program that combined broad exposure across all surgical subspecialties, excellent teaching/mentoring and research opportunities. I have been familiar with the Department due to my appointment as a postdoc, I feel confident to say that attendings and senior residents are approachable and very supportive. Pittsburgh is also a good place to live with great restaurants and a lot of opportunities to spend free time.
Non-Academic Accomplishments
When I am not at work I like spending time at my crossfit box. I also enjoy spending time with residency friends exploring restaurants and bars around Pittsburgh
