Congratulations to Richard L. Simmons, MD, who received the 2017 American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS) Pioneer Award, the most distinguished award bestowed upon an individual by the ASTS for a significant contribution to the field of transplantation.
The University of Pittsburgh paid tribute to the outstanding achievements of its faculty and students during their 41st annual Honors Convocation on Saturday, February 24, 2017 at the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh Music Hall.

Congratulations to Geoff J. Bond, MD, who was recently honored with two awards related to patient satisfaction.
Dr. Bond won the Excellence in Patient Experience – Physician and Advanced Practice Providers Honor Roll Award for fiscal year 2016. The criterion for this distinction is consistently achieving 100% top box scores, “Rate Provider 9-10” for physicians and advanced practice providers with a minimum size of 10 or more.
